Security Bank customers hit by technical glitch

Security Bank customers have experienced technical issues, with some complaining about their incorrect balances in their accounts.

The Dy-owned bank has owned up to the glitch that resulted in clients having deductions from their accounts. Some customers also reported their nability to transfer their money online or withdraw cash.

“We have begun crediting back to accounts, all ATM transactions that did not push through today. We expect to complete this within 48 hours,” the bank said in an advisory.

As a quick fix, select bank branches have opened to serve over-the-counter transactions today (Oct. 31) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
