Philippine Airlines and AirAsia Philippines announced the resumption of regular commercial flights to Tagbilaran.
PAL will start thrice weekly flights between Manila and Tagbilaran starting Nov. 22 in view of the reopening of Bohol to domestic tourism.
Domestic tourist travelers to Bohol must register at Bohol’s website tourism.bohol.gov.ph. before their scheduled flight.
AirAsia Philippines, on the other hand, will resume flights each way from Manila to Bohol starting Dec. 1.
To celebrate Bohol’s reopening, AirAsia is offering 50% off on all flights from Manila to Bohol until November 22.
The travel period is between December 1 and December 30.
“We are pleased to be able to reopen our services to and from Bohol for both essential and leisure travelers. We hope that the resumption of connectivity between both regions will further assist local businesses and enterprises in Bohol. AirAsia will continue to support the national and local governments in their efforts to jumpstart the travel and tourism industries in the Philippines,” said Ricky Isla, CEO of AirAsia.
Travelers must take an RT-PCR test within 72 hours before departure from Manila. Once a negative test result is secured, they can register and get their QR codes via tourism.
The local government of Bohol will provide guided itineraries to travelers and will implement strict health protocols.
Travelers who will stay in Panglao, Bohol for more than 5 days will have to get another RT-PCR test from accredited service – providers stationed in the island.
