Commuters have more transportation options now as the motorcycle ride hailing app Angkas resumed its operations today.
Angkas chief transport advocate George Royeca assured commuters of their safety, saying all their riders have undergone a COVID-19 test.
Over 6,500 Angkas riders who tested negative for COVID-19 and passed government guidelines will be allowed to ply the road.
The government suspended all public transport systems following the coronavirus outbreak in March.
Royeca said the riders also underwent a refresher course on how to effectively disinfect motorcycles and barriers.
To limit the interaction between the driver and passenger, Angkas is also implementing 100% cashless transactions.
Angas assured more riders would be available in the coming days as they conduct more RT-PCR tests.
Royeca reminded Angkas customers to bring their own helmet with visor as sharing is not allowed.
