Globe completes purchase of Cascadeo

Globe Telecom Inc. has further strengthened its cloud-based services with the acquisition of US-based Cascadeo Corp. for $4 million (roughly P200 million).

Cascadeo is a leading cloud managed services provider. It is a premier partner of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.

“The pandemic only emphasized how critical digitalization is. In order to survive, companies have to respond with transformed ways of thinking and operating. For Globe, the uncertainties the world has faced pushed us to strengthen what we were always known for—being digital. This propelled us to go all-in on our partnership with Cascadeo so we can prepare companies for a future that embraces the Cloud,” said Peter Maquera, SVP for Globe Business.

Globe Business, the enterprise arm of Globe, has been working closely with Cascadeo to help enterprises remain competitive amid an evolving digital landscape.

Aside from providing expertise in cloud-based products, Cascadeo also supports Globe through cloud managed services, enabling companies to leverage the Cloud’s agility, security, and scalability.

Jared Reimer, founder of Cascadeo, said
their partnership with Globe allows them to showcase in the Philippines that the Cloud is more than just a virtual storage space.

“It’s an enabler of innovation, maintaining system uptime, and scaling digital resources to meet demand in whatever capacity. Globe’s vast network, years of cloud experience, and commitment to customer success is a great combination with what we can offer to the Philippine market, while Cascadeo continues to expand in North America,” he added.
