A top executive of PLDT has filed for early retirement.
June Cheryl A. Cabal-Revilla is leaving her post as senior vice president/group controller and chief sustainability officer effective 31 December 2020.
The 46-year old executive will also retire from her role as chief financial officer of Smart Communications. PLDT Group CFO and chief risk management officer Anabelle L. Chua has been named to serve concurrently as Smart CFO effective 1 January 2021.
Cabal-Revilla’s retirement was announced a week after she was named CFO of Metro Pacific Investments which has interests in water, power, tollways, railway, hospital and logistics.
Cabal-Revilla will replace Metro Pacific’s long-time CFO David Nicol who retired effected 1 December 2020. Nicol will remain with the company as advisor for the next 12 months to aid the transition.
