Gatchalian summoned PLDT executives to the city hall on Friday (December 11) to check on the status of 1,405 pending repair tickets in Valenzuela City.
Telco officials told the mayor that all complaints have been resolved as of December 8. A total of 495 new repair tickets, however, are still awaiting action.
Gatchalian was recently in the headlines for suspending the business permit of another Pangilinan-led company, North Luzon Expressway Corporation, over problems in its RFID system and cashless payment collection.
The mayor’s move resulted in a toll holiday, with NLEX Corp. barred from collecting fees from motorists passing through its tollgates in Valenzuela.
Gatchalian hinted in a tweet that Friday’s meeting with PLDT executives won’t be the last until its service improves.
“Follow up meeting with pldt. They cleaned the old 1500plus complaint tickets na raw…then the new ones inaayos na nila. I will keep pushing them. No choice but to push and push and monitor talaga…,” he said.
