God makes everything beautiful in His time.
Last December 29, Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco and China Jocson sealed the year with a promise of marriage. They gathered their closest family and friends at the Josemaria Escriva Shrine in Gerona, Tarlac for an intimate ceremony.
Tarlac Governor Susan Yap, mayors and congressmen were also present to witness the beautiful union. All these were in preparation for a grand wedding slated to happen in 2021.
Back in 2004, Charlie was widowed when his spouse Rio Diaz succumbed to colon cancer. He was left to single-handedly take care of their children Jaime and Claudia who were just 7 and 5 years old at that time.
The Tarlac first district representative stood up to the challenge while juggling politics and business. Remarrying was put on the back burner until he met former Malacañang Assistant Secretary China Jocson.
China was the former Assistant to former Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella and a former GMA broadcas journalist. Their love story eventually led to the aisle.
Some of their closest friends sent best wishes to the couple after the pre-wedding ceremony.
Richard Peter Michael congratulated his new sister and shared a photo with the lovebirds.
