Relax without worries: Find out which 2 hotels in Manila earned global ‘Safe Travels’ stamp

Two hotels in Manila have bagged the coveted Safe Travels Stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

The Department of Tourism proudly announced that bilyonaryo Jacinto Ng’s Joy Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila and the local franchise of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taguig bagged the stamp, which assures travelers of the safety and cleanliness of a hotel.

“The DOT has taken the role as Safe Travel Ambassador, advocating the implementation of the Safe Travel protocols and the enrolment not only of tourism enterprises but more importantly, of destinations that are compliant with said protocols,” Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat said.

The Philippines is the 100th country to have establishments qualify for the safety stamp.

Even as the pandemic continues to slow down the tourism sector’s recovery, Puyat called on stakeholders to work hard to secure WTTC’s seal of good housekeeping to promote the Philippines as a safe and attractive tourist destination.
