Ortiz, who was director of the company from 1994 to 2017, was nominated to the AEV board for the year 2020-2021 along with his fellow members of the Aboitiz clan – Enrique (chairman), Mikel (vice chairman) Erramon, Sabin, And Ana Maria A. Delgado.
The AEV board will also have two new independent directors with the exit of retired Justice Jose C. Vitug (director since 2009) and former Energy Secretary Raphael M. Lotilla (since 2012) are leaving AEV’s board.
M&A specialist Manuel R. Salak III of AlphaPrimus Advisors has been nominated for another term as independent director.
The incoming new directors are former Finance Undersecretary Romy Bernardo (who is also chairman of ALFM Family of Funds and Philippine Stock Index Fund) and senior adviser for Morgan Stanley & Co. Joanne De Asis (founder and chairman of New York-based boutique investment bank Globe Capital Partners LLC).
