In a now-viral post from a Facebook page entitled “Transmission Failure Raptor,” a motorist claimed the transmission of his Raptor overheated while he was driving with his three kids along the Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway.
The driver said the vehicle was only six months old at the time, but it suddenly stopped.
The motorist said Ford officials switched his transmission gear when he complained— and asked him to take down an unflattering online post about the carmaker.
However, the driver said the same incident happened again even after the transmission was switched.
“Buhay ng tao sa inyo parang aso lang, okey lang mamatay wala kayong mga pakialam. Itutuloy ko ang laban na to hanggang mawala ang mga nakaupo dyan sa Ford Philippines. We don’t deserve this service!,” he said.
“Tinatawagan ko ang lahat ng nasiraan magsama sama tayo sampahan natin class suit ang Ford wag nanatin hintayin may mamatay pa saka tayo kikilos,” the motorist added.
Others who experienced the same issues spoke up in the comments section. One reported an overheat of their 2019 Raptor coming out of parking. Another said that the transmission problem is also plaguing Ford’s Fiesta, Focus, and EcoSport units.
“Dapat palitan nila ng bagong unit yung sasakyan. You have to demand for a total replacement. If not, report it to DTI for appropriate action. Safety must be the utmost concern of your company. Better serve your customer properly,” user Cipriano Lauigan said.
