The 15 Filipinos on Forbes real-time ranking of the world’s richest humans had a combined assets of $42.6 billion as of end-February 2021.
This is 1.6 percent or $700 million higher than their aggregate wealth the previous month but a whopping 17 percent or $6.2 billion better than their total fortunes in February 2020, or a month before the COVID lockdown.
Eight of the 15 bilyonaryos gained an identical $100 million each during the period – Lucio Tan, Andrew Tan, the Sy-bling boys (Hans, Herbert, Big Boy, and Harley), Bobby Ongpin and Injap Sia.
Only two bilyonaryo saw their wealth shrink during the period – the richest Pinoy, Manny Villar ($200 million) and Ramon S. Ang ($100 million).
