Smart Telecommunications has no plans of slowing down its aggressive advertising campaign even after getting some of the most popular Korean superstars as endorsers.
Philippine Star entertainment editor Ricky Lo reported Tuesday (March 2) that the Manny Pangilinan-owned company just signed a Hollywood A-lister as the telco’s newest face.
“As Smart’s first-ever Hollywood A-List brand ambassador, the celebrity will appear in a world-class commercial helmed by an internationally-acclaimed director who has done commercial work for renowned brands such as BMW, Montblanc and Mercedes Benz AMG,” Lo wrote in his “Funfare” column.
Lo said Smart’s Hollywood endorser was the “lead star of the highest-grossing film of all time.” The celebrity also appears in a film franchise that grossed more than $10 billion worldwide.
“To infinity and beyond? Find out this week,” Lo teased.
Smart recently scored major coups by getting the widely popular K-pop boyband BTS as endorsers. The reel-turned-real life love team of Korean superstars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin also appear in the telco’s advertisements.
