Ex-PNB president Archit Bartolome resigns as I-Remit chairman

Former Philippine National Bank president Arsenio “Archit” Bartolome III is leaving I-Remit after three years with the Tiu family’s financial services firm.

Bartolome has resigned as chairman and independent director of I-Remit effective 5 April 2021. The 79-year old corporate executive cited “personal reasons” for his departure. He joined I-Remit in 2019.

Bartolome, a protege of former President Fidel V. Ramos, was president of Philippine National Bank from 1994 to 1997 after serving as the first chairman and president of Bases Conversion Development Authority (1992 to 1994).

Bartolome founded and led the defunct Urban Bank before he joined the Ramos administration.
