In a special meeting on April 7, The CPG board of directors appointed Aileen Christel U. Ongkauko as independent director.
Ongkauko will serve the remaining term of Antonio’s son, Robbie, who resigned from the company last February “to focus on addressing the pressing issues in his own company and its allied businesses.” Robbie owns home builder Revolution Pre-Crafted which has ran into financial trouble with its suppliers.
The 52-year old Ongkauko is the president and CEO of La Filipina Uy Gongco Corporation & Subsidiaries, a highly-diversified agribusiness, livestock and food company established founded 120 years ago.
Ongkauko used to be a director of of Aboitiz Equity Ventures International, Aboitiz Power International, and Pilmico International.
She graduated magna cum laude a from Ateneo de Manila University where she earned her degree in Bachelor of Arts in Management Economics.
