Megawide Construction Corp. and its Korean partners are gearing up for the construction of phase 1 of the Malolos-Clark Railway Project (MCRP) in the second quarter.
Last September, the consortium of Megawide, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd., Dong-ah Geological Engineering Co. Ltd. bagged the Malolos-Clark project package 1 contract, which covers the construction of a 17-kilometer viaduct structure and elevated station buildings in Calumpit, Bulacan and Apalit, Pampanga.
Megawide will build two mobile batching plants to ensure efficient production and delivery of high-quality ready-mix concrete, while the Formworks segment has already begun the installation of temporary facilities at the project site to house various equipment.
The combined contracts for the services is more than P3.1billion –P2.9 billion for the supply of concrete materials, P152 million for the provision of temporary facilities and another P59 million for the initial equipment supply contract.
