In a virtual briefing, Volkswagen Philippines president Felipe Estrella said they expect the five-seater T-Cross to drive sales as the market is shifting towards SUVs.
“The T-Cross is a vehicle that we hope will be ushering in a revival for the Volkswagen brand in the Philippines,” Estrella said.
He said the company has already started to receive reservations for the T-Cross even before its formal launch next month. The T-Cross vehicles that will be sold in the Philippine market are assembled in China.
Volkswagen Philippines will be offering T-Cross at an introductory price of P1.068 million for the S variant and P1.168 million for the SE variant.
Estrella said the company would launch four new vehicle models this year. It has so far launched Santana, a subcompact sedan. (PNA)
