Company president Roberto Bontia said of the total, P5.34 billion would go to the C5 Southlink project, P6.49 billion for the Cavite Laguna Expressway and P270 million for the extension of CAVITEX Segment 4.
The 7.7 kilometer, six-lane C5 Southlink project stretches from R-1 Expressway to SLEX/C5.
Under construction is C5 Southlink’s Segment 3B which will span from RSG Airport View Subdivision to Sucat interchange.
Bontia said Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) subsection 5 is now 93 percent complete and is slated to be opened to the public by the third quarter.
Subsection 5 is a 7.2 km, 2×2 lane expressway linking Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Interchange to Silang East Interchange.
“Once operational, we expect CALAX to serve around 5,000 motorists daily, thereby helping decongest traffic along Governor’s Drive, Aguinaldo Highway, and Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road. It is also expected to help accelerate economic progress in Laguna and Cavite as it connects the two provinces of Region IV-A,” Bontia said
